Session 2. Trust building
In this session, we will learn how we all affect the group atmosphere with our self-expression and become more aware of how we can all create a safer and more comfortable atmosphere. We will also learn about different games and other trust-building exercises and will create safe space rules.

Explaining the concept of a safe space
The aim of this class is to become more aware of how we all affect the atmosphere with our self-expression and how we can all create a safer and more comfortable atmosphere. It may be a good idea to create safe space rules together with the participants. This gives us a sense of empowerment, which ultimately builds up confidence and it is easier to commit to rules you have had a say about.
Structure of the session
1. Explaining the aim of this session to the participants, making safe space rules
3. Trust building exercises, e.g. getting to know you games, trust building (e.g. treasure hunt), verbal exercises
4. Reflection, e.g. using picture cards, talking in small groups and pairs, writing a diary, thumbs up
